Le Pisani was founded by Maltese Chef Ray Pisani and Italian Coffee wiz Franco Pisani. Stunned by the coincidence that they came from 2 different countries but have the same last name, they wanted to highlight this in the name of the restaurant back in 2014.
Comfortable, contemporary, stylish surroundings and friendly service together with fresh food with a Mediterranean flair have made the first restaurant in Axminster a truly local delight.
In 2017, Le Pisani was faced with the opportunity of opening a second restaurant, this time in the sea side town of Seaton. After a lot of work, this became reality and with the help of Darren and his wife Rosabelle who came in to partner up with (Darren’s Uncle) Ray, a new addition to the Le Pisani Axminster was born. Darren and Rosabelle came all the way from Malta to run and manage the new restaurant and make sure that Uncle Ray’s hard work continues to run in the family. It was only natural to build on to what Ray and Franco had started and go with the same name “Le Pisani” for the second restaurant in Seaton.
We are feeling generous at Le Pisani!
During the months of February and March the management will be choosing a night where all food will be offered on complimentary basis to all pre booked tables!
We will be randomly choosing one of our busiest Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays in each of the months to surprise our esteemed clients with a free meal!
Mediterranean Cuisine with a heavy touch of local influence.
From the typical English Breakfast with baked beans, eggs, sausage and hash browns to the mouth-watering Sunday Roast including the lavish potatoes and steamed vegetables. One step further into the Mediterranean with the French Deep Fried Brie served with sweet cranberry sauce and the ever so tasty Chicken àla Grècque, all the way to Italy and our much loved Lasagne, Bolognese Pasta and a selection of pizza, making our way to a Greek dish known as Lavraki that we just call Sea Bass (because we find it simpler) cooked with white wine and spring onions. Created by the very talented Maltese Chef Ray Pisani, our healthy menu is influenced from traditional recipes from the Mediterranean, especially from his home country. The sunny island of Malta is conveniently situated in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, with its unique palate traditions and the use of various herbs to boost the flavours in every dish. We take pride in using Fresh and Local ingredients and lots of love to prepare each dish to be simply delicious and unique, taking your taste buds through a sun kissed Mediterranean journey.
Our menu is specially made with you in mind, we have a selection of Vegetarian options
with a large percentage of the menu being Gluten Free.
